Slobodan Milosavljević

He was born in 1965 in Belgrade.

 

He graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade in 1990, where in 1996 he defended his master's thesis, and in 2001 his doctoral dissertation in the field of macroeconomics and management.

​After graduating, he worked briefly in freight forwarding and foreign trade. In 1991, he started working at the Institute for Market Research, where he performed the function of Director of the Center for Economic Research and Macroeconomic Analysis from 1996 to 2000.

 

From January 2001 to March 2004, he was Minister of Trade, Tourism and Services in the first democratic Government of Serbia, and for a short time before that he was the economic advisor to the President of the Democratic Party, Zoran Đinđić.

 

After the termination of his ministerial function, he was elected Director, and from December 2004, President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce. He was elected Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management in the Government of Serbia on May 15, 2007. He held that position until July 7, 2008, when he was appointed Minister of Trade and Services in the Government of Serbia. At the beginning of March 2011, he was relieved of that function.

​Upon the termination of his ministerial function, he was appointed an advisor to the Chamber of Commerce by the Decision of the Management Board on April 19, 2011. At the proposal of the Government of Serbia, and by the decision of the Assembly of the company NIS-GAZPROM NEFT a.d. he was elected a member of the Board of Directors - Non-Executive Director for Additional Business Operations. After the termination of membership in the Board of Directors of NIS-GAZPROM NEFT a.d., he took a position with the company as Regional Coordinator for Additional Business and Coordinator for rebranding the retail network. He also served as a member of the International Advisory Board of Uni Credit Bank in Rome, Italy, in the period 2011-2014.

He has published more than 50 scientific and professional papers in various journals, publications, and monographs of national and international importance. He also won the "Golden Pupin Medal" in 2005. He was elected Coordinator of the Center of Departmental Committees of the Democratic Party at the session of the Presidency of the Democratic Party held on August 25, 2014.​

He is vice-president of the Managing Board of the “Dr Zoran Đinđić” Fund. He has been a member of the Democratic Party since 2003.
