Ilija Vakić

He was born on July 30, 1932, in Kosovska Mitrovica. He graduated from the Higher Political School in Belgrade. He became a member of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia in 1949. He worked as a highly qualified electrician in the "Trepča" factory.
He was the secretary of the Municipal Committee of the League of Communists in Vučitrn and Kosovska Mitrovica. He was elected organizational secretary of the Provincial Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Committee, the secretary of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Committee of the Kosovo League of Communists and a member of the Central Committee of the League of Communists of Yugoslavia.
From May 1967 to May 1974, he was the President of the Executive Council of the Assembly of the Socialist Autonomous Province of Kosovo.
